My Journey With the Saxophone
Surprising my friend’s graduation party with a dancing sax performance!
My senior year send-off solo that earned a standing ovation.
I’ve been playing saxophone for ten years. In high school, I was selected for All-District and All-State bands in Illinois and also performed with the pit orchestra, show choir band, and marching band, where I served as drum major.
Beyond school ensembles, I gained performance experience through gigs — flying to weddings in Chicago and San Diego, joining a marching and street band in Valencia, Spain, and now performing in a DJ–sax duo and other projects at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Would I be able to pull off the solo and the high notes within a month’s notice?
